Osgoode Outreach is a vibrant social club designed for independent adults aged 55 and over. We gather every Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Osgoode Legion, offering a warm and welcoming space for social connection, learning, and fun. Our program runs from mid-September to early June, and there’s always something exciting happening.
What We Offer:
A Little History:
Osgoode Outreach was informally established in 2018 as a monthly community luncheon for seniors. Over the years, it has blossomed into a popular program that now includes weekly social, educational, and wellness sessions, as well as a monthly luncheon to bring the community together.
Current Participation:
Our group is thriving, with over 100 participants (35-45 seniors attending each week). Our monthly luncheons can accommodate 60-70 people and typically sell out. It’s a great chance to meet new friends, enjoy a nutritious meal, and stay active in the community.
Cost:
Outreach is generously supported through a grant from the Province of Ontario. We ask attendees to contribute up to $5 for refreshments, and up to $10 for lunches. These donations enable the program to continue to offer a wide variety of activities and foods.

What We Offer:
- Social Connection: Whether you’re looking to catch up with old friends or meet new ones, our weekly gatherings are the perfect opportunity to connect. We have a great group of people and always welcome new faces!
- Engaging Activities: From cards and crafts to learning new games, listening to expert speakers, and monthly discussion groups, we ensure that each session is both enjoyable and enriching.
- Outings: Several times a year Outreach organizes bus day-trips and other outings to interesting places in Eastern Ontario.
- Refreshments: Enjoy coffee, tea, and a variety of nutritious snacks to keep you refreshed throughout the morning.
- Monthly lunches: Every month we offer a delicious low-cost lunch.
- Commnunity Outreach: Each year we select 1 or 2 local organizations which provide services to the community to support through a collection and donation program (e.g. collecting toiletries for a women's shelter). It is our way of educating our members about non-profit organizations that operate in our catchment area and providing support to those organizations.
